Residents from King William, King & Queen, New Kent and West Point  are cordially invited to submit your quilt(s) old or new for exhibition in West Points second quilt show. This show will display quilts in the unique setting of Downtown West Point. 

 

Pre-registration is required - deadline is: March 5, 2010

To ensure the safe-keeping of your treasures we ask that you follow these requirements:

√ LABEL: Sew a label onto the back of the quilt which includes your name and telephone number.

√ BAG: Deliver your quilt(s) in a pillow case or cloth bag with your name clearly printed on the outside of the case/bag. Slips of paper attached with a pin will not be accepted.

√ SLEEVE: In order to display your quilt, you MUST have a 4 inch sleeve sewn or pinned on the back. All quilts under 39” (inches) wide will require permission from you for us to use safety pins on your item for display purposes. Quilts not meeting these requirements cannot be accepted.

√ QUILT DELIVERY: Quilts MUST be delivered to Citizens & Farmers Bank, 802 Main Street, West Point, Virginia on March 8, 2010, between 1pm and 5 pm. There can be no exceptions.

√ QUILT PICKUP: Quilts MUST be picked up by Wednesday, March 17th between 2pm and 4 pm at C & F Bank.

Viewers Choice Award: In order to enter the viewers choice award, your entry must have been made by you.

Every quilt, new or old, has a story. Please use a separate piece of paper

to share any interesting facts or stories about the quilt...why it was made, for whom, when, where the fabric came from, and any pictures you have to help with your story.

We will exhibit these stories with the quilts.
